Train of Thought Sketch Comedy Group Bio

> Train of Thought is one of the nation’s premiere sketch comedy groups. They’ve honed their comedy skills since 2003 with five stage shows; Airport (“well written, continuously hysterical, deeply intelligent”), New York (“No Laugh Track Necessary”), Laid Off (“Good jokes peppered with pockets of awesome”), Breaking Up (“The funniest threesome on [the Seattle] stage”) and Best Of (“one of the most talented and funny sketch groups you’ll ever see in your life”), winning rave reviews from local critics and multiple festival appearances.

In 2006 they began using the latest web technology to bring their work to a larger audience. Their online sketch comedy videos have developed a loyal following that continues to grow. They are one of the most viewed comedy groups on YouTube and have been featured on MySpace, Google Video, Yahoo! Video, CollegeHumor, Channel 101, FARK, AtomFilms, Veoh, LiveVideo, Crackle, SuperDeluxe, iFilm, British television's Totally Viral and the National Lampoon sports themed pilot Balls!. They were also the first sketch comedy group to be featured on MySpace Comedy.

The troupe was also a finalist The Great Sketch Experiment hosted by JibJab.com. Over 100 independent comedy groups were invited to submit a sketch based on a police theme. Only six groups were chosen and were flown to Los Angeles to have their script filmed by legendary comedy director John Landis (Animal House / Blues Brothers). Train of Thought was the only group in the competition not from Los Angeles or New York.

The ToT’s most popular characters include the ever-feuding Tom and Tina, Granny Fremont, Puppet Tom – the puppet version of MySpace co-founder Tom Anderson (which actually earned them a visit to the MySpace offices), Andy Rooney, Sensei Ryan, Puppet Satan and many more.

Kaci
Kaci Aitchison

> In addition to Train of Thought, Kaci has been performing with Seattle's Jet City Improv on the mainstage since 2002. A University of Washington grad, her passion for entertaining the masses led her into radio, where she currently works on the air as a member of The Bob Rivers Morning Show, for which she also writes comedy segments and performs the occasional song parody. When she's not demanding attention from a stage or radio frequency, you can catch her singing classic rock with Spike and the Impalers, sweating awkwardly through a Bikram yoga class, or testing out her latest comedy material in front of her stuffed animals. Really.
John
John Boyle

> John has been writing, performing and directing sketch comedy for over ten years. He has written five full-length stage revues and many of his sketches have been featured all over the internet on sites such as MySpace, Google Video, Yahoo! Video, AtomFilms and many more. (See group bio above)

In 2006 his script for Train of Thought was selected by legendary comedy director John Landis (Animal House / Blues Brothers) for The Great Sketch Experiment hosted by JibJab.com. To work with the man who directed such comic greats as John Belushi, Dan Ackroyd, Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy (plus so many more) was a huge thrill.

He draws on pop culture, current events, politics and celebrity impressions as his inspiration for new material and counts the Kids in the Hall, Saturday Night Live, Monty Python and the Marx Brothers as his biggest influences.

When not creating sketch comedy with Kaci and Ryan, John can be seen rooting on his Minnesota Twins, Vikings and Seattle Seahawks and enjoying an occasional Maker’s Manhattan on the rocks.
